I want to use my smoker to bake 100+ potatoes at about 225F. How long would this take?
A good, intriguing question. And like so many answers in this forum, it begins with the phrase, ‘it depends.’ Meaning, cooking this many potatoes at this relatively low temperature depends on the size of the smoker, and how even or controlled is the heat source. With a conventional oven we suggest baking potatoes at 400°F for about an hour or the internal potato temperature reaches 210°F. So, assuming your smoker can accommodate 100+ potatoes at a constant 225°F this will take a considerably longer period of time to reach nearly the same temperature as the smoker.
