Can you deep fry red skin potatoes?

A:

You can French fry red potatoes but since they are waxy it is pretty likely that the potatoes won't turn out crisp. One of my favorite styles of cooking reds is to boil them, then smash so they are still intact and finally skillet fry in a pan.
