EAGLE, ID—March 17, 2011—The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently unveiled the new 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans which outline evidence-based nutritional advice to promote health, reduce the risk of chronic diseases, and reduce overweight and obesity rates through improved nutrition and exercise habits. According to a survey conducted by the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC), potatoes are America’s favorite vegetable (February 2009)! Potato Solutions for 2010 Dietary Guidelines
