Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Grilled Garlic Shrimp


Garlic Mashed Potatoes

  • 3 pounds Idaho® potatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 ounces butter
  • 1 teaspoon fresh garlic, minced
  • To taste salt and pepper

    Grilled Garlic Shrimp
  • 1½ pounds tiger shrimp, peeled
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ cup mixed herbs (basil, tarragon, oregano)
  • ½ teaspoon fresh garlic
  • ½ teaspoon shallots
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. Peel the potatoes, cut into cubes and boil in salted water until soft. Drain.
  2. Heat cream and butter in a medium saucepan until slightly warm. 
  3. Add potatoes to a mixing bowl and slowly whip until smooth.
  4. Add warm cream and butter to the potatoes and mix for 2 minutes.
  5. Add garlic, salt and pepper and mix until thoroughly combined, about 1 minute..

Grilled Garlic Shrimp

  1. Preheat grill.
  2. Toss the shrimp with the oil, herbs, garlic, shallots, salt and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  3. Grill for 3-4 minutes, turning halfway through, or until pink on each side.
