We all know Idaho® potatoes provide the perfect canvas for culinary masterpieces. However, their versatility also offers chefs endless ways to present their popular menu items.
The most creative we’ve seen is “From Earth Potato Fondant” from Chef Gerard Craft at Niche in St. Louis. This, almost-too-good-to-eat recipe uses primarily mushrooms and potatoes to create a totally edible dish resembling potatoes being unearth from the soil. It’s nothing short of spectacular.
A little more whimsical is Potato Cappuccino with Potato Froth created by Jason Santos of Blue Inc. in Boston. Chef Santos serves creamy mashed potatoes in a mug that resembles a satisfying cup of cappuccino. For more serving inspirations, we’ve gathered a few of our favorites.
