How many generations?
I am the third generation farming in the Declo area.
I'm proud to be a farmer because... I like wide open spaces and the opportunity to see a project completed from beginning to end. I really like planting small seeds and harvesting their abundance.
My favorite way to eat a potato:
Mashed with some skin left on, butter and sour cream, and the perfect amount of salt and pepper added.
Established in 1937, the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) is a state agency that is responsible for promoting and protecting the famous "Grown in Idaho®" seal, a federally registered trademark that assures consumers they are purchasing genuine, top-quality Idaho® potatoes. Idaho's ideal growing conditions, including rich, volcanic soil, climate and irrigation differentiate Idaho® potatoes from potatoes grown in other states.
