How many generations?
I am the fifth generation on my father’s side, and fourth on my mother’s side, so you could say that farming is in my blood.
I'm proud to be a farmer because... There is no greater satisfaction than putting a seed into the dirt and then working months to cultivate and help that seed to grow and mature and then harvesting that crop that you have had a hand in. There is also no substitute for good old-fashioned hard work, and that is something that I look forward to passing on to my children. There’s no better place to learn that than on the farm.
My favorite way to eat a potato:
Fresh Cut Idaho Russet Burbank French Fries
Established in 1937, the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) is a state agency that is responsible for promoting and protecting the famous "Grown in Idaho®" seal, a federally registered trademark that assures consumers they are purchasing genuine, top-quality Idaho® potatoes. Idaho's ideal growing conditions, including rich, volcanic soil, climate and irrigation differentiate Idaho® potatoes from potatoes grown in other states.
