The Idaho Potato Commission is committed to making sure that Idaho® potatoes are not only known as the best brand of potatoes but also healthy for everyone's diet. With certifications from the American Heart Association and, most recently, the American Diabetes Association, shoppers can now easily spot the logos on packaging, knowing they are making a wise and healthy choice for themselves and their families.
Shippers are not required to pay a fee for ADA or AHA certification due to the master agreement with the IPC. Artwork approval for the Heart-Check mark and the ADA’s Better Choices for Life logo is done by the IPC.
Packaging compliance requirements can be hard to keep track of. To help, the Idaho Potato Commission has compiled a checklist of what we believe to be the most informative and relevant resources for growers.
The American Heart Association’s Heart-Check mark is licensed to the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) for use on certified Idaho® Potato packaging. Shippers and growers do not pay a separate certification fee but must follow the approved usage and artwork guidelines.
