Throughout his career, Zach Engel has cooked the cuisines of the Middle East. Galit opened in 2019 after Zach won the 2017 James Beard Rising Star Chef of the Year Award. In 2022, Galit was awarded a Michelin star for their approach to Middle Eastern food using Midwestern ingredients.
