Chef Vittal, originally from Bangalore, India, developed a passion for cooking early in life. He pursued formal training at OCLD and gained experience at several Oberoi Group hotels, including Oberoi Bangalore, Rajvilas, and Oberoi Mumbai. After working as a Sous Chef at The Oberoi New Delhi, he moved to Raffles Singapore to further hone his skills with South Asian cuisines.

Chef Vittal later joined Amber India in San Jose, where he spent 12 years opening new locations and growing the catering business, ultimately becoming Corporate Chef. As Co-Founder and Executive Chef of Jalsa Catering & Events, he combines traditional techniques with modern trends, creating innovative dishes with seasonal, local ingredients. His Stir-Fried Mustard Yukon Potatoes was featured in the It All Starts with An Idaho® Potato campaign.
