How to bake a potato in the microwave?
Wash the potato and pierce it several times with a fork. Place it on a microwave-safe plate.
Microwave on high for about 5 minutes for a medium potato, flipping halfway through. If it’s still firm, continue microwaving in 1-minute increments until tender when squeezed.
Let it rest for 1 minute before cutting open so the steam finishes cooking it.
