Wife: Married to my supportive wife Amy Nielsen for 20 years
Children: We have two beautiful children; our son Jack (18) has been my farming buddy since he was six and now that he has graduated, is pursuing his dream of joining our family operation and our daughter, Adalyn (13) loves to cheer and dance.
Hometown: I was born, raised and farm in Paul, Idaho. I am a 5th generation farmer, farming for 28 years alongside my father.
I’m proud to be a farmer because…it has created a great lifestyle for me and my family and taught me valuable lessons of hard work, dedication, and a true passion to feed the world.
My favorite way to eat a potato is a twice baked potato!!
Established in 1937, the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) is a state agency that is responsible for promoting and protecting the famous "Grown in Idaho®" seal, a federally registered trademark that assures consumers they are purchasing genuine, top-quality Idaho® potatoes. Idaho's ideal growing conditions, including rich, volcanic soil, climate and irrigation differentiate Idaho® potatoes from potatoes grown in other states.
