Red Potatoes

Did you know that more than 25 different potato varieties are grown in Idaho?

Idaho grows about 13 billion pounds of potatoes each year, and while most of them are Russet Norkotah or Burbank varieties, about 4-5% of Idaho's annual production is non-brown spuds.

Reds are probably the most popular variety after russets. They have less starch than russets so they tend to hold their shape a little better, making them perfect for roasting, boiling, casseroles and potato salad.

A must-try is Idaho Potato, Chorizo and Bean Bake are like amped-up nachos. Have plenty of napkins available because as soon this dish comes out of the oven your family will be diving in!
