NOTICE OF MEETINGS TO NOMINATE A GROWER MEMBER OF THE IDAHO POTATO COMMISSION

Burley, ID - 11:00 a.m.

Notice is hereby given that on Monday March 23, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.nominations for one grower member of the Idaho Potato Commission will be held at the Burley Inn, located at 800 N. Overland Ave, Burley, ID 83318. Idaho Code § 22-1204 (7) defines a grower as one who is actively engaged in the growing of potatoes on five (5) or more acres in the state of Idaho and who does not provide the primary management to a shipping or processing operation. The statute further provides that three (3) growers shall be nominated for each grower vacancy that occurs from which the Governor shall appoint one (1). Nominations and votes for this (1) grower member of the Idaho Potato Commission must be made by qualified growers residing in District No. 2B, consisting of counties of Cassia, Minidoka, Blaine, Custer and Lemhi. Only one (1) person per partnership, corporation, association, and/or any other business unit can make nominations and vote and must be a potato grower who has had active experience in growing potatoes, is actually now engaged in the production of potatoes and a resident of the State of Idaho for three (3) years prior to their appointment. Each grower may only vote one time.

Mountain Home, ID - 2:00 p.m

Notice is hereby given that on Monday March 23, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.nominations for one grower member of the Idaho Potato Commission will be held at Wingers,3150 Foothills Ave, Mountain Home, Idaho 83647. Idaho Code § 22-1204 (7) defines a grower as one who is actively engaged in the growing of potatoes on five (5) or more acres in the state of Idaho and who does not provide the primary management to a shipping or processing operation. The statute further provides that three (3) growers shall be nominated for each grower vacancy that occurs from which the Governor shall appoint one (1). Nominations and votes for this (1) grower member of the Idaho Potato Commission must be made by qualified growers residing in District No. 2A, consisting of the counties of Twin Falls, Jerome, Lincoln, Elmore, Boise, Valley, and Gooding. Only one (1) person per partnership, corporation, association, and/or any other business unit can make nominations and vote and must be a potato grower who has had active experience in growing potatoes, is actually now engaged in the production of potatoes and a resident of the State of Idaho for three (3) years prior to their appointment. Each grower may only vote one time.

Nampa, ID - 4:30 p.m.

Notice is hereby given that on Monday, March 23, 2020 at 4:30 p.m.nominations for one grower member of the Idaho Potato Commission will be held at the Hampton Inn, located at 5750 E. Franklin Rd, Nampa, Idaho 83687. Idaho Code § 22-1204 (7) defines a grower as one who is actively engaged in the growing of potatoes on five (5) or more acres in the state of Idaho and who does not provide the primary management to a shipping or processing operation. The statute further provides that three (3) growers shall be nominated for each grower vacancy that occurs from which the Governor shall appoint one (1). Nominations and votes for this (1) grower member of the Idaho Potato Commission must be made by qualified growers residing in District No. 3, consisting of the counties of Owyhee, Ada, Canyon, Gem, Payette, Washington, Adams, Idaho, Lewis, Nez Perce, Clearwater, Latah, Benewah, Shoshone, Kootenai, Bonner, and Boundary. Only one (1) person per partnership, corporation, association, and/or any other business unit can make nominations and vote and must be a potato grower who has had active experience in growing potatoes, is actually now engaged in the production of potatoes and a resident of the State of Idaho for three (3) years prior to their appointment. Each grower may only vote one time.
