Hundreds of Americans Enter National Healthy Lifestyle Tips Contest

BOISE, ID, June 2, 2004 - A national contest that started May 1st has attracted over 400 entries to date and winners are being announced on www.idahopotato.com weekly. The contest, which solicits and recognizes America’s best fitness and nutrition tips, is being conducted by the Idaho Potato Commission entirely via the website.

A total of thirty-five winners (number of weeks between May 1 and December 31, 2004) will receive a bounty of Denise Austin exercise equipment. The grand prize winner (which will be selected from the pool of 35 winners) will receive a Denise Austin Body Glide Rowing Machine and a $500.00 cash award.

Sponsored by the IPC, the contest underscores the Commission’s commitment to promoting the healthy properties of Idaho Potatoes and healthy lifestyles in general. A judging panel consisting of IPC representatives and Austin, the IPC’s fitness expert and host of her own exercise program on Lifetime Television, reviews all of the tips and selects winners weekly.

The contest is easy to enter. All a person has to do is log onto www.idahopotato.com, click on the contest icon and follow the directions. Tips can range from advice on how to stick to an exercise plan to how a person can design a healthy eating plan. All entries must be 75 words or less and entrants may enter as many time as you like as long as they fill out separate entry forms.
